PerakPerak is the second largest state in the Peninsular Malaysia, right behind Pahang. The capital city is Ipoh which is more well-known in the country as the tin-mining state. Although the state’s name bears the meaning of “silver”, Perak actually possesses another unique meaning behind its name – “Grace”. In Perak, it is expected to see various royalty cultures which are being well-practiced and preserved by the locals. Although Ipoh is the capital city of Perak, the royal city is Kuala Kangsar, which is also where the Perak sultan resides. Perak has gone through various colonialism periods; however, the Perak today stands firm and tall with its own pride towards the country. It is fairly easy to travel around in Perak due to the emphasis of railway services by the state government. It is even possible for tourists to travel between states with these railway services. Apart from that, there are also various attractions in Perak which can be further explored, especially when one is interested to know more of the local culture and history. These attractions include the Lost World of Tambun, which is the state’s most famous theme park recommended to be visited with the entire family. There are also beaches such as Lumut and Pangkor Island which provide tourists with a sandy and sunny beach experience when residing in Perak. Accommodations in Perak are all well-prepared and all these accommodations – hotels and resorts – are usually situated near tourist attractions and thus, it saves a lot of time having to travel around the place. However, even so, public transports such as buses and taxis are also being arranged near to hotels and resorts in Perak so that tourists can travel at ease. |
